When is Jerry Rice going to retire?
Jesus this guy is probably the greatest reciever of all time(I think Chris Carter is better because he didn't have hall of famers throwing at him)but, he's got to realise that he's too old to be playing wide reciever in the NFL.

1. He already did...
He just likes to hang out on the field during games...for old times sake.

3. He is trying for another season
Considering he averaged almost 15 yards per catch and is willing to play for the league minimum, he may be the biggest steal at long yardage slot receiver in the game. He is good for 10-15 plays per game, and should probably catch 30-35 passes, which is all a long yardage slot receiver should get. I think his 15 yards per catch average last year puts him in the top tier of these guys. Most teams use untested rookies in the long yardage slot game as the third or forth option. Rice has lost a few tenths on his 40 time, but he is still a great open field runner and drops very few passes. He filled that role in Seattle last year very well. I think a team like Baltimore or the Giants will pick him up for the vet minimum and give him a chance to make the team. The Giants might be better with his presence on the offense. Losing Warner puts a ton of leadership pressure on Manning, plus Rice would help with Burress' attitude. HE was very good at dealing with TO in San Fran.
