The purple in my silly face pic is actually the colour of the hair. My webcam sucks and unless I'm in direct sunlight everything looks super, ultra dark.

Holy canoli, what an interview! You sounded great. Informed, articulate, and on point. So what you got a couple of ums, here and there. That's something a lot of articulate folks are guilty of, and wow-za what a voice. Very well done. I give ya

I always try to make the distinction between Chavez and the Revolution. Even Chavez does that, he's said "This isn't Chavez's revolution, this is your revolution. This isn't Chavez's government, its your government. I might fail but you will succeed."

Yeah, I should have thrown out the facts about the amount of unused land, the fact that they import at least 80% of their food, the fact that 80% of the population is poor (as of 2002, i think), more stuff like that. Boy I was nervous heh.

I think there is a misconception that women who are assertive (as in opposite of deferential) in their speech *sound* like men. It's a way to de-femininze strong women and it bothers me.

The interviewer could have done a better job with his questions. He could have steered it in such a way that would have enabled you to put more facts out there. It was an interview, not a speech. Know what I'm saying? Put that bee in your bonnet and remember it for next time.

I agree, he didn't really ask a lot of questions, and what he did ask was very general so I tried to keep it fairly general so I could cover as much as possible so EVERYTHING would be covered, ya know? Oh well, maybe next time. I'm writing and article for these people so maybe I can cover a lot more in that.
