Random Drug Testing on the Job .

Last week , Human Resources did random drug testing on my job . This should be no surprise to us employees because it is stated in the employee handbook ( the one everyone has to read and sign an affidavit saying they read it ) that random drug tests are given . But some employees who told me that they take drugs are bragging that they were not selected at random . To me this testing does not serve its purpose . WTF is the point ?

6. Depends..

Do they drive a forklift around others? Do they get high at work? If they got high at work what would be the worst possible outcome? Burnt fries, or multi-state power outage? Smoking a bowl before bed isn't really that bad.

its a warehouse distribution center place . And some of them get high at break time . Very bold if you ask me .

8. I would tell.. With a note under the door to HR..

I worked in a warehouse and it was our job to get out of the way. Scary shit. High on a forklift is bad news for everyone around. I hate to narc. But, that is really bad. Someone could die.

2. I got drug-tested at a bar I worked at in college.

2 other employees were tested at the same time. The Asst. manager and his toady were not (they instigated it). We were messing up their drug deals, and they were hoping to take us down. We were clean (me, just because of dry times and finals).

The Asst mgr and his toady ended up ripping off the bar and the liquor store one night (caught on OWNERS camera that they had no knowledge of). They were the ones accusing us of drug use??? HAHAHAHA Kinda like the closeted (psycho) homosexuals that accuse everyone of everything....

4. It's served its purpose on me

There have been times that I would have liked to partake of the ganja. But I can't because my company randomly tests 50% of its employees every year. So I just stick to beer and cigarettes.

5. you can always drop an anonymous hint off at HR, if you want

to. Not that I would necessarily do it, but if they are being pricks about it...it would be tempting. I'd tell them to shut the fuck up first, since anyone could give HR a reason to test them.
