How can my cousin, born in 1987, be graduating from high school?
Edited on Wed May-18-05 04:16 PM by Bouncy Ball
HOW?

That's not possible, is it? Sheesh. 1987 was just....a few years ago, wasn't it?

Mostly I like getting older, it's better than the alternative, but sometimes it just sneaks up and bites you on the ass. Got the graduation announcement in the mail and it had a picture and I thought "Who the hell is THAT?" (Haven't seen them in several years.)

Then I realized it was that little girl who used to bug the shit out of me at family get-togethers.

Where's my acid washed jeans? "Wake me up, before you go-go, don't leave me hangin' on like a yo-yo!"

2. It's linked to John Titor and time travel
Spacetime is warped beyond our understanding. As far as I recall, 1987 was, like, 5 years ago, man.

16. sorry but I'm pretty freaked about it as well
I've been counseling college and high school kids for well over a decade. I used to chuckle when they were born in the 70's and were the ages of my older friends' kids. Then they were born in the early eighties and I'd think they were very near the ages of my godchildren. Now they're within a couple years of my own kid and it boggles my mind.

My how time can fly !!!

11. know what you mean -- my brain still thinks it's 1992 ...
When I look at the birthdates of my 3rd-year college class, I can't help thinking they should still be in day care! How can this be? 20 years since I graduated from high school? How the hell did that happen?

14. I graduated from high school in 1988.
I remember a kid was born that year to my boss at the time. I assume she'll be graduating soon too. I'm getting old now, complete with memory loss and everything. Ain't it great? Not. I used to think it would be great until I started getting there. Now, I'm not so sure.
