Bad web host warning and plea for help

I had my curvynovels.com site hosted with http://1t3.com/ Lousy uptime and tech support there, so I finally decided to move to Globat.

Well, my site disappeared from the net on March 7th, and Globat insisted that I had to get the old guy from 1T3 to reregister the domain name.

He has not answered any of my emails or tech support requests since my site died on March 7th. Globat is now saying that I appear to have a domain name until March 2006 (for the life of me I can't recall if I did re-up it for 2 years last time, but they seem to think I did) So Globat told me to get my old host to point the domain to them.

Still no reply from him.

What am I supposed to do? I have zero control over my own domain name and it ticks me off beyond all belief. I am paying for hosting space I can't use with one host, and the other one is heaven only knows where (though he did change the panel interface as of April 13th!)

I can't remember how to ping to find out who sites are registered to, but I do remember doing this one time and seeing the phone number for the who registered it. I think 10 weeks of my site being down calls for some alternative route of getting in touch with this guy.

6. I was able to verify that yes it's good to go until 2006 due to

him re-upping it on March 8th, but I can't get the registration info. It won't let me. :(

just send Network Solutions your info on letterhead requesting the change

its your right as the "registrar"
