Getting fired from Monday Night Football, getting fired from HBO, getting fired from CNBC, quitting CNBC when they told him he was going to be fired (like THAT'S more dignified!), or pimping men's hair care products for L'Oreal? Probably the third one, but I must admit to taking especial delight in the last because I'm a vindictive, vindictive man.

Of course the winner probably would be him learning that the college-educated audience he previously played to doesn't much buy the neocon suckup act, hence the cataclysmic ratings, but Denny, for all his Vocabulary Word of the Day posturings, was never too bright.

The guy lives the ultra-high life (I think still in Santa Barbara?) and needs to pull in a HUGE salary to keep it up. A million dollars there is like a thousand here. You don't normally work for both Disney and Time Warner at the same time; they may have released him so he could do MNF. I'm afraid that by that point I wasn't watching either show, so I can't really remember the timeline on the HBO show ending.

I didn't even KNOW about THAT humiliation! The guy's got PLUGS for God's sake. However I'll say -- seeing him squirm on Daily Show and make a point of saying he's not as CONSERVATIVE as he is A LIBERTARIAN. This seemed really desperate like a last ditch effort to save the show which unbeknownst to him was probably already in the chopping block file at CNBC.

The Freepers didn't even seem to notice he was there, or notice when he went. His "political commentary with hands-off Bush" format SUCKED even for them.
