A poem for my fellow DUer's Mother who passed away today

Anonymous American Indian Prayer

Do not stand by my grave and weep.
I am not there
I do not sleep.

I am a thousand winds that blow,
I am the diamond glint on the snow,
I am the sunlight on ripened grain.
I am the gentle autumn rain.
When you wake in the morning hush,
I am the swift uplifting rush of
quiet birds in circling flight,
I am the soft starlight at night.

Do not stand by my grave and weep.
I am not there
I do not sleep.

truly an inspiration -- along with the other one from the Taos Pueblo Indian Poem which we will read at her Funeral Mass:

TODAY IS A VERY GOOD DAY TO DIE.
EVERY LIVING THING IS IN HARMONY WITH ME
EVERY VOICE SINGS A CHORUS WITHIN ME
ALL BEAUTY HAS COME TO REST IN MY EYES
ALL BAD THOUGHTS HAVE DEPARTED FROM ME
TODAY IS A VERY GOOD DAY TO DIE
MY LAND IS PEACEFUL AROUND ME
MY FIELDS HAVE BEEN TURNED FOR THE LAST TIME.
MY HOUSE IS FILLED WITH LAUGHTER
MY CHILDREN HAVE COME HOME
YES, TODAY IS A VERY GOOD DAY TO DIE.

9. They printed this poem on my Grandma's obit

and it always makes me think of her sweet, giving, wonderful self. My son heard this at a funeral and also mentioned it very recently.
