Toby Keith--Yuck
Just seeing the report about him on 60 minutes. I find him crass on so many levels.

Why don't people in the military realize that he is using them and taking it to the bank?

1. Not to mention
That's he's a rotten performer. The guy just stands there in concert, and thinks that playing his guitar is moving.

3. First of all, could you please tell me what was said in this report.
Second, I find MOST of the Country Music Community to be that way!!!

They are Hard Right Wing, Nationalistic, Xenophobic, Born Again Christian Fanatics! I try to avoid Country whenever possible! Country Radio might as well join the AM Hate radio of Rush, Hannity, and G. Liddy! Don't get me wrong, there are some great people such as the Late Great Johhny Cash and June Cash and their daughter Rossanne! Then there is Willy Nelson, if you go over to the CMT.com Willie Nelson Disussion board, alot of the Country FReepers are eating "Sugar-Honey-Ice-Tea" for his endorsement of that "horrible Librul Dennis Kucinich"!!!

But as a whole, I cannot stand Country!

8. Basically...
complained about Peter Jennings because Jennings didn't want him performing first at a fourth of July show...said that Jennings was a Canadian (no he isnt you pissant, he just became an american)...Rather said Jennings was a good guy, Keith disagreed...then he dissed the Dixie Chicks, showed him making fun of them in concert (Natalie with Saddam picture)...then said that some of his songs aren't really what normal woman would like, then shows screaming women who love him, love him, love hiM!

Let's see, then showed him singing his pride of America (dont know it) song, and how he wasnt going to release it, but instead, he did release it, made millions...yee haa!!

Then, showed that his concert series is going to be called Shock and Y'all and laughed all the way to the bank...the end...

6. Arrogant self-serving piss-ant
I really can't stand him. I saw about 10 seconds of the interview with Dan Rather----- enough to make me :puke: That's what I get for channel surfing. :argh: The ignorant ass already had an ego the size of Dallas, now I guess he'll be everywhere including his continued role as an "opening act" for Chimpy McFlighsuit. :puke:  :grr: Oh and hey Toby, you no- talent pos, where is all the money you made off of the victims of 9/11, with that arrogant and ignorant song? Did you donate any of it to the families of those who were lost on 9/11? Or did you just pocket it all?

9. He had Attack Dogs when he played MY town!
I was walking across campus and saw where his "Convoy" was parked behind the Hall of Music.
There were these 2 guys in full "Ballistic Nylon" war gear, everything except the M-16's, each one with a mean-assed looking dog.
Never found out if they were part of the show or just "fans"...

10. Two thumbs down on that jerk.
I never really heard of this guy before I saw him on 60 minutes last night.

From what I saw and heard, I've got to give him and his fans "two thumbs down."

He thinks women are objects: He's got a song/video, in which he's riding around, pimp style, in a limo and croons to some bimbo: "I got the money, now give me some honey" or some such. I guess he thinks of women as prostitues? And the women who claimed to like that song and his attitude, well, that was a pathetic show, "ladies."

Despite claiming to be a patriot, Mr. Keith disrespects the flag by putting an image of it on his guitar.

He's a vampire, in that he got rich by exploiting the murders that some group -- which group that was, I still don't know -- carried out in september, 2001. He also gets rich by exploiting the military, who are out fighting and dying, while he lives in luxury.

I also think his fans are right-wing thugs. The Taliban song, about America being willing to stick their boot up foreigner's asses, was pretty sick, as far as whipping up hatred. The reaction of the fans at a concert where he sang that song was even worse. There are some really scary Americans out there.

Oh, and what a tough guy (not) by imposing the picture of the Dixie Chick with Saddam. I found it frightening that he (a bully who tries to be a big tough guy) would sic his rabid fans on a female singer. Is he trying to appeal to the woman-beater crowd? Again, he totally disrespects women.

In short, the interview left me with the impression that he is an ignorant bully.

11. As if ...
"Courtesy of the Red, White and Blue" wasn't arrogant enough, he's got a new one coming out about Afghanistan. It has a line in it about bombing them and them scattering like rabbits, IIRC.

The guy's pathethic. He even used the "they hate us because of our freedom" rationale.
