Talking about celebrity gossip is way better than what people did to explore human nature in the olden times, which was to gossip about family, friends, and neighbors.

It harms no one if we indulge in some Cruise watching. The guy is entertaining and sometimes even more entertaining in his weird real world life than in some of his movies. I consider myself a fan of his better work but I see no harm in enjoying a few smiles at his recent antics.

They are openly indulging in the weirdest damn stories about his life, and they're so sensationalistic it's hard to turn away. Particularly since he's been around for a long time and they've never roasted him over an open flame before. They know a great opportunity when they see one!
