4. Raiders of the Lost Ark was a classic.
I think it also had a lot to do with Marian and the great chemistry between them.

5. "The search for the Grail . . .
. . . is the search for the Divine in all of us."

"Maybe they should spend more time reading books than burning them."

"Does anyone here speak English? Classical Greek?"

"Run."

"Indiana, let it go."

7. Great scene
When the Jones boys get captured by Fritz and they want to know where the Denholm Elliot character is. Indy gives this great speech about him knowing six languages and twelve dialects, having contacts and safe houses in every village between Tangiers and Baghdad, how he'll fit right in, live like a native, disappear.

They then cut to Brody (that's his name) wandering around the bazaar of some village looking so English and obvious and promptly being kidnapped by the Afrika Corps.

The intro scene with Young Indy - the late great River Phoenix - is also sensational.

11. "With Any Luck, He's Already Got the Grail"
Grail is more quotable than Raiders, I think.

14. Too Thin
Not much to grab onto. A pretty face though.

In the end, she thought all that glittered was gold. And she was a little roundheeled, having rolled both of the Jones boys.

and, however thin and hot, she'd let you down in the end.

Maybe nice for a weekend at Berchtesgaden, nicht wahr, mein Freund?

"This is how we say goodbye in Germany." (POW!)

17. Ummmm
I imagine the actress herself is still very pretty and thin ... and most likely not a Nazi agent circa 1938.

18. But Like All Actors in the Movies . . .
She's pushing 50 now, even though in the movie she'll always look 28. A HEALTHY 28.

10. Raiders is the best produced...
Temple of Doom is too gritty (but there's something else about it that's wrong... even cliched?)

Last Crusade could easily have been the best but there's too much silly humor and that gaudy ha-ha music for nearly every joke too. That said, it's enjoyable - and Julian Glover plays a great villain. (as usual!)

12. "Raiders" of course, but I'm a staunch defender of "Doom"
"Doom" remains one of the most visceral of action-adventure films; I even think Capshaw's Willie is perfect (I'm glad she wasn't a clone of Karen Allen's character). But then, I think "The Phantom Menace" was the fourth best Star Wars movie.

Suffice to say, I draw the ire of quite the many geeks.
