I found out today that 3 friends from my hometown got sent to Iraq......
I haven't seen any of them in awhile. The last one I saw probably little over 5 years ago. They are all members of the Montana National Guard. I'm not too glad that they were sent. I was reading my hometown paper today, checking to see when an op-ed of mine was going to be printed, and I read the story. Their parents all are worried, but all three families, sound proud, like they believe their sons are there for the right reasons. It just leaves a bad taste in my mouth. It really angers me that Bush can send good people like them over to possibly die or be crippled. And, their families, I mean, most people aren't well informed, they aren't news junkies like us, they are just good regular people who trust our leaders to do the right thing. It bothers me. Like one kid, I used to be his high school wrestling coach, I knew him since he was probably ten years old. It's just a bad, bad, sad and tragic situation that we got involved in that war.

1. I found out the other day that yet another one of my friends from high
school is in Iraq.

Reggie is such a nice guy, I hate to even think of him there.

Prayers to your friends, and mine, and every one over there American and Iraqi.

3.  don't know anyone over there.....
I had some friends with older brothers who were in vietnam and I knew a lot of vets when I was in college....

But I feel for you....

It really personalizes the whole situation that most of us can't grasp.....

I hope they all come back safe and sound...

4. Three from Cut Bank?
Yeah, there's not much news in the Havre Daily News, or even the Great Fall Tribune.

8. Wave across the hi-line.
I was born in Glasgow, went to HS in Havre. Worked at the record store in the mall from 1976 - 1982, off and on, what with high school and college and all.

I'm 44.

I'm sure you all and I know some of the same folks.
