Post pics of your pet(s)
Or if, like me, you don't have any and you live vicariously through other peoples' pets, post pictures of them!

7. Love those Bluepoint Siamese........
I had one when I was a kid, "Chipper", he was truly funky, talked like a person. He caught a bat out of mid-air with one swoop of his paw and right into his mouth......now that would have been a picture, both wings flapping on either side!! He also used the toilet to go number one, taught himself. Wish I had another one, just have a domestic short-hair now, he is pretty cool...but nothing like the siamese.

9. Ginger isn't really Siamese . . .
but he sure has the royal bearing and attitude. ;) His mom is a grey-haired, green-eyed farm cat, and his father is a blue-eyed black and white feral cat. We don't know how he turned out so Siamese looking. (Yeah, he's a talker, too.)

15. Ginger is a doll
That top pic reminds me of how my friend Paula's cat Boots loved the Christmas tree. Every morning when we got up the bottom few branches would be bent down, the garland would be all askew and a bunch of ornaments would be on the floor. It took a few nights of putting her on her leash and hooking the leash to the couch to break her of that habit.

25. Thanks, Buffy.
Christmas always is interesting around here, because Ginger loves anything sparkly. :eyes: He's also extremely interested in the shiny stuff on our little Buddhist altar; consequently, Buddha gets "de-cat-haired" about once a week. :eyes:

Edited on Mon Aug-15-05 01:25 AM by BattyDem
We call our recliner, "The $500 dog chair" :eyes:

Sometimes, when he's in a really generous mood, he allows one of us to sit in it. :P (In both pictures that I posted, my guy's sitting in the recliner. As soon as someone walks into the living room, he jumps on the damn thing, LOL!)

27. Yes, it "became" a cat chair.
The reason I have a towel on the seat is because company used to walk in and make themselves comfortable and I had to run for the cat hair brush.

Now, I just pull off the towel. Seiko's afraid of strangers and it usually takes her an hour (at least) to come out after the doorbell rings.

Finally the only pic I have of dear Dave the departed...Been 18 years since he vanished one afternoon...

17. They're all so cute!
Gomez reminds me of a cat I used to cat-sit for. Her name was Samantha and she'd been rescued as a stray. At the time she was 8 months old, malnourished and pregnant. They had to take the litter to save her life, and she never grew any larger than what she was at the time but otherwise she was fine given love and good care.

28. Thank you very much!
Of course, I'm an unbiased observer here (HA!), but they ARE adorable!!! We love to hear Libby sing her heart out. She has very eclectic tastes that range from soprano opera, certain commercial tunes including the maytag commercial, the theme song to 'Survivor' and 'Divine Design' on HGTV, and certain gospel songs. There's just no telling what will 'inspire' her, because not every song gets her going. That's part of the delight she brings us, she has very definite ideas about a lot of things, music being one of them!

I rescued them both from Cocker Spaniel Rescue of East Texas, and they have been sheer delights! I would HIGHLY recommend rescue dogs, they KNOW and so appreciate a good home and lots of love.
