I got a PM from DUer TinSteelHat. He says that alien creatures have overrun the General Discussion forum, and that the moderators of DU have blocked off all access in hopes of keeping the news from spreading!

It's horrifying what TinSteelHat is reporting! These aliens are trying to win over the trapped DUers there with offers of free beer and affordable alternative fuels that can be used in cars with no modifications, and zero emissions! Those FIENDS! Further, these demonic entities claim to hold technology which will deliver every person to nirvana, as well as allowing every single baseball team to win the World Series every single year. INCLUDING the Cubs! Diabolical!

We must get the word out! The Moderators claim this lockdown is for our own protection, but in fact there is nothing to stop these aliens from spreading into other forums! The lockdown is only an attempt by the DU moderators to quell word of this pending disaster!

It just gets worse!

Uncontrolled parties are breaking out all over GD. Clothing optional. The aliens have delivered a devestating assault composed of hot tubs and tequila. For a few moments it looked like a shortage of limes might halt their advance, but that hope was shattered by an air drop of the green bearers of citrus filled doom.

There were rumors of sporadic dancing outbreaks, but TinSteelHat is holding his opinion on that until he has personally verified them.
