So, who would be interested in Chicago gathering
in October? We seem to have had the best luck on Sunday afternoons.

We haven't gotten together in awhile and it would be great to see a mix of old friends and new faces.

So, who's interested, what day and where should it be?

7. I'd love to participate
but Saturdays would work better for me. I am a transplanted Chicagoan, but was planning a week-end trip to my beloved hometown soon. I could do Sunday afternoon if it doesn't run too late.

The weekend of the 15th is the only one that wouldn't work for me.

I hope I can meet some of you soon!

9. Sunday seems to be best,
especially for me. And since I posted this, you bet I'll schedule it so I can be there. :D

Anyway, we usually start about 1:30 or 2, and people drop in and out until about 6 or 7. Sometimes, a few of us will then go out to eat. At least, that's how it's worked before.

Hope you'll be able to join us.

It's no more than a 2-hour drive, even allowing for a little traffic. If traffic sucks, perhaps 2 1/2. I've made it downtown a couple times in 1h 45m.

38. Believe me
You don't want *us* in your house. :-)

We usually meet in public places since you never know who will show up or what to expect. There's lots of characters — and trolls — who lurk here, and you probably wouldn't want them to know where you live.

Some of us have gotten to know each other better IRL and visited in person.

In any case, glad you'll make the trip into the city. We still have to settle on a date and place. Welcome to DU. :hi:
