4. According to an interesting SABR formula...
...Sox have scored almost 40 more runs than expected, while the Yankees have scored much lower than they actually have.

Part of the reason is that the Yankees have had a horrible lineup for most of the year; lately, torre has constructed a much more explosive lineup (ARod and Giambi hitting 2 and 3 is key) that may partially explain why the Yankees are suddenly doing much better now.

Should be fun.

6. Now both the Sox and Yankees need to continue to win games....

And take over the wild card spot. So when the Indians knock off the whitesox for the Central division lead, Carlos and his ridiculous team miss the playoffs altogether and seal the greatest sports collapse in recent memory.

7. Hopefully LA will knock Oakland out of the AL West lead...
And then the Angels can go kick the Yankees' ass again!

Yeah, I'm not optimistic or anything!

8. They're just playing to see who will lose...
To the Chicago White Sox, who are going to win the AL.

The Angels, who have the idiotic audacity to use the great name of Los Angeles while being located in ORANGE COUNTY, deserve to choke.

And fuck any team from the northeast, truly.

9. Blame their owners.
Yeah, I'm one of the many fans who think the use of the name "Los Angeles" when the team plays in ANAHEIM for the purposes of marketing is total blasphemy!

Although we did get a law passed called "The Truth In Sports Advertising" law which says that the Angels cant use "Los Angeles" on any of the merchandise they sell. I wish I could say I was making this up, too!
