Sending all the good karma I can muster to that official and his family. They just said that this was his 20th year working the sidelines. I hope he's ok.

So that's a good sign. How awful, though. I worked sports information during my college years, and I was usually in the press box. Every now and then, though, I had to run something down on the field for a photographer, or take a message to a coach, and I HATED watching the game from field level. I always felt very vunerable any time the play was taking place near where I was standing....

The Beavers aren't giving up, though. Still fighting, and still have an outside chance to make this interesting.

Case in point, driving towards the end zone with 2:32 left in the 3rd. Bernard, #26, with the braids sticking out of his helmet, just made a purty run!
