Hey, y'all! Let's have a "cutest pet" contest.
Here's the catch. You can't enter your own pet. You have to find the cutest animal on Petfinder, the website for recued and abandoned animals in need of adoption.

All pets are game. Let's go look and find some cute ones:

7. I pick this one because...
she look's like my last cat Poofter. Her tail would poof out like a bottle brush when she came in from the cold. She's been dead three years now. I still miss her.
The cat I have now is one of her sons. :D

9. Awww....I'm sorry.
I am glad that you were able to have a son of hers. That has to help ease the loss a little.

4. Bella, the mixed breed dog rescued after Katrina

In Jackson, MS. Bella was found during Huricanne Katrina and brought to the Ms Coliseum where she was checked in, treated by the attending vet for her hurt leg, and immediately found a place in every volunteer's heart. I met her yesterday and we romped around the fair grounds for at least 15 minutes and then we both collapsed on the cold concrete (if there could have been such a thing on a 90 degree day). She propped her right arm over my left knee and kept looking at me as if to say, "Yeah, life is really good." What a wonderful dog, beautiful colors, and totally adoptable. Right now she is in the hands of the folks at Animal Medical Center after being released by the state vet's office yesterday. These releases are important since the fairgrounds as a huge kennel area for hurricane homeless dogs is winding down and will close. Elizabeth Jackson, with Animal Emergency Fund, was the guardian angel who went down to start making sure each one of these dogs will have the best of chances in the days to come. I give my full approval to this dog and hope you will come and meet her and maybe sign her cast. By the way, the leg is not broken but injured.
