Who's enjoying the crazy thunderstorm in Los Angeles?
I would like it a lot more if I didn't have leaks in my roof.

1. You too with the leaky roof?
Mine leaked mercilessly last year but was "fixed."

We shall see what I find when I get home from work.

6. Keep your fingers crossed.
Roof repair seems to be an inexact science here.

4. When it rains here all hell breaks loose
car accidents galore. They are actually letting people who live far away leave work early!

and it VERY RARELY thunders and lightenings here but it's doing it now...big time! :scared:

5. Driving in this rain certainly aint fun!
I wish it had rained this badly during the Angels - White Sox game.

Particularly in the fifth inning when we actually had a lead for once.

7. I can't say I'm exactly enjoying it.......
BUT...it's not bad, and we sure do need the water, so.....

The thunder/lightening last night was truly impressive, especially for here in LA!

I thought for sure it would keep me awake, but no...too tired!

I'm also grateful that I don't need to be out in it today!

:hi:

Severe Storm Warning: Destructive Hail, Tornado
Prepare for damaging winds and deadly lightning

Oct 17, 2005 2:22 pm US/Pacific
LOS ANGELES (NWS) The National Weather Service in Oxnard has issued a severe thunderstorm warning for northwestern Los Angeles County.

Trained weather spotters reported a severe thunderstorm capable of producing quarter-sized hail. This storm was located 22 miles southeast of Santa Clarita, or about 16 miles north of Monterey Park. It is moving northwest at 55 miles per hour.

A tornado could develop. If a tornado is spotted, act quickly and move to a place of safety in a sturdy structure, such as a basement or small interior room.

This is a dangerous storm. If you are in its path, prepare immediately for damaging winds, destructive hail, and deadly cloud-to-ground lightning. People outside should move to a shelter, preferably inside a strong building but away from windows.

This type of storm has a history of producing destructive winds and large
damaging hail.

Hail up to 1.4 inches in diameter has been reported in Arcadia.
