Kleeb the Grocery kid: a new era begins asap
Edited on Thu Nov-20-03 05:28 PM by JohnKleeb
I just got back from Giant and they hired me. Woohoo! :bounce:
My pay will be like 35 cents higher than it was in the summer, more work time which also means more money, and above all, my commute is easy, I can just walk to the shopping center. I gots a job again, finally after best buy and the bookstores turned me down. So happy you know. Seems good, and I can get to and from very easily, thats good considering I dont drive. Woohoo.
c-o-m-m-u-t-e
commute
and I wonder why I never got in any spelling bees :D.

I mean, they know what you meant. Why couldn't they just leave it alone? Changing the word did not affect the overall comprehensibility of the sentence.

56. I see nothing - it's clear...
...unless some marketing putz has gotten it colored with some impure substance....such as caramel to make Blavod "black vodka".

But then, I'm a single malt scots whisky fan, so I use vodka to remove glue.

All that just to plug a real drink. Sheesh! What lengths will I go to? (or....To what lengths will I go? for all you grammar nazis out there)

53. Paul Newman's first job was at a grocery store
Mine was washing dishes at a country club, but that lasted about three days. Then I got hired in at Holland Shell Service (open 24 hours, full-service), 2310 E. Holland, Saginaw, and had a blast -- right up to the day I went into the Army.
John
Which is another story altogether. Congratulations on the job and keep in mind that, if you're going to schmooze the gals properly, you're going to need a car and the sooner the better.

Nice to have a steady job, and that fact that it's close is great.
I live about 7 minutes away from my job, and I wouldn't trade it for the world!

The only catch is, you start to get overconfident that you can make it to work in just a few minutes all the time. Gotta watch that!
