Mine has been thrown outdoors by my wife because it pissed on our bed.

1. Um, no.
K-dawg would not be with us if she did that. Thats not cool.
She does overshoot the box sometimes.

Seriously though, sometimes thats the sign of urinary tract infections in cats. Serious stuff.

2. Waterproof mattress pad that zips around the mattress is required.

There are non-crinkly types and you can add a cotton mattress pad on top of the waterproof pad.

Your cat has litter box issues. See the pets forum and good luck! :)

9. Well - when mine finally pissed on the couch -
after a terrible span of time with him pissing on the bathmat, dirty clothes left on the bathroom for an *instant* too long, etc - his ass went to the vet STAT - and we've discovered he has diabetes. This caused him to drink brazillions of gallons of water and pee just as much.

11. Is it a boy cat? If so, ASAP
get him to a vet. He almost definately has a bladder infection. We almost chucked ours out, too...so I know where you're at with the frustration level. But the poor thing was trying to tell us he was sick!

He was peeing everywhere - especially right in front of us or on the blanket over my feet (ugh) while I was sleeping.

A urine test and a $10. antibiotic stopped the peeing problem cold.
