I GOT A CHRISTMAS HAM! A HAM!
My agency gives employees the choice of a ham, turkey, or fruit basket. The hams and turkeys are big honkin' ass slabs of meat - my ham is about 18 pounds! :wow:

Eh, it may not sound like much, but we're a social service agency and that's about the best we can do. I'm excited, because I love ham. :9

4. I'll trade you...
I didn't get anything...not a ham, a turkey, or even a bonus!!! I work for a god damn, family owned ultra conservative bank and the CEO says everything is tight this year, yet he ordered himself a new Ford GT($160,000). In the past, we received hams, then the last 2 years he gave us turkeys...but this year NOTHING! What a tight ass...

7. Too bad you can't check his oil and put brake drum filings
Edited on Thu Dec-15-05 06:31 PM by DainBramaged
down the dip stick tube. The thing will be in the shop for months while Ford rebuilds (by hand) the motor at Jack Roush's place. See ya get one of those little graphite tubes for the locks, cut off the tip spray out the graphite (super lube) and suck up brake drum filings from your local Midas muffler.

Not that I advocate doing something like that, or that you would anyway.

19. In the original post:
"My agency gives employees the choice of a ham, turkey, or fruit basket."

Seems plenty sensitive to me. Employees get a choice.

16. Dobre Shunka
It's the first thing that came to my mind Bunny. But I am homesick and I am coming home for Christmas :bounce: :bounce:.

Note to those not from Pgh. Dobre Shunka means "good ham" in Slovak. During the Steelers Super Bowl years it was a fond way to refer to Jack Ham.

What's the best way to cook it? I've never cooked a whole ham before, but I have to cook one on Christmas.

25. I love ham too.....
my mother-in-law,(may she rest in peace), made the best ham, I'd dream about eating it. She'd buy a double smoked one, then put syrup over it, put it in a cast iron kettle and slow cook it in the oven, and boy oh boy, just outstanding. It was mouthwatering when smelling it cooking. She'd have mashed potatoes, that green bean hot dish, warm rolls, honey glazed carrots, and d*mn I'm getting hungry.
