The story of my son and his girlfriend and the sad circumstances with her Father being ill.

I received a call this afternoon, he (Ashley's father)passed away around 1pm today (27th)

May he finally rest in peace, pain free and not suffering.

Please keep these young people in your prayers, good wishes etc as they move forward and welcome a new life in the very early spring.

thanks.

aA.

8. thanks CG!
It's truly a blessing that he is no longer suffering, but very difficult for a young girl to lose a father.

5. It is ..
This baby will be the first grandchild all round. She's not even sure if it 'clicked' when she told him he'd be a grampa. I suspect he'll know .. and be watching over them from somewhere peaceful. (one can hope)

9. Mr GoG's mother and my father passed away before
my younger boy was born. I gave him a small cloth photo album with pictures of all his family...including his grandma and granddad. I'll tell him stories about them too, so he gets a sense of who they were.

When is the baby due?

6. thank you Rev
It is a blessing, but so very hard to lose anyone you love. I'm waiting to hear what the arrangements are so that I can 'try' to get there. I have to work all week so I'm going to have to do some juggling.

13. my friend
thank you for your kind words. :loveya:

My heart aches for what he had to go through, I can only hope and pray that he is finally at rest, pain free and peaceful. The baby will carry his name, as a middle name when he/she is born. I'm hoping now that Ashley will feel less stressed, it's been hard on her. Maybe now she can find comfort knowing that he is free.

14. All I have is:
:grouphug:

I have witnessed the wasting away and death of my father a few years ago. He hung on as long as he could though and actually found some joy in living, even in his final few days.
