Steak and/or Pork: Do you eat the fat? Or trim it off and leave it?

Because not only do I EAT the fat, I LOVE it. It's my favorite part. Others at my table have reacted in horror, but MAN I love me some fat.

And, my cholesterol and triglycerides are flawless.

So, any other fat eaters out there?

2. I don't even eat the steak or pork meat.
I used to but didn't eat the fat. My nephew used to feel the same way as you when he was small it was his favorite part too.:hi:

4. Pork yes, steak no.
Pork fat is more chewable and tasty. Beef fat is rubbery.

6. I avoid pork, but leave the far with a steak.
And yes, I eat the fat when it comes to steak. Pork fat, well, isn't that basically bacon anyhow? :shrug: I eat bacon on ocassion, but not often.

My cholesterol is 169 but I'm very overweight so I can't chortle about it.

In my defense, I don't get lot of beef OR pork.

12. I like the fat on beef, but not pork, and love it most when it's grilled
When the fat on the side of the steak gets kinda charred and smoky... man, that's tasty!

Otherwise, I'm not such a fan of fat.

14. I eat both.
When i feed my cattle i make sure they get very marbled and fatty(feed lots of grain and sweet feed), as it makes for much more tender and tasty meat.
