Michelle Williams was awesomely good in "Brokeback Mountain"
Who ever knew what a wonderful, subtle, intuitive actress was hiding at Dawson's Creek? I wish she had won the Golden Globe. Her portrayal of Alma was, to quote a review, a revelation (Anne Hathaway was great, too.... her part was just not as "important" to the story).

2. A tale of two Dawson Creek Alumni
One ends up in the movie of the year, nominated for a golden globe and married to a stunningly beautiful Heath Ledger, a man who married her as soon as he found out she was pregnant.

The other starred in "First Daughter" (a very unforgettable movie), hasn't been nominated for anything worthwhile and is engaged to stunningly crazy Tom Cruise, a man who has proposed to her but has already postponed getting married until maybe after the kid is born.

Michelle Willams has got it made and Brokeback Mountain is going to do wonders for her career. I'm sure Heath Ledger will neither hinder her career choices nor will force her to worship aliens emerging from a Volcano!

3. I was talking about Katie yesterday
She was decent in "Batman Begins" and "The Gift," and HAD the part of a lifetime in "Factory Girls." But, her Little Xenu is more important... if Williams was as "Hollywood cute" as Holmes, she would rule the industry in six months....
