TTUPOTUIF!
Thank the Unseen Powers of the Universe it's Friday!

Anyone else have a week from hell this week? Oy!

Anyone have plans for the weekend?

I'm going to stay in my PJs the whole weekend and set up trains with my son.

:loveya:

(I have 8 minutes before I have to start working. And I will be out at 5 on the dot!)

:hi:

1. It's been a week of hell and the weekend doesn't look that much better...
Daughter and two grandchildren are living with us until they get a new place. It's my hope they'll be out by early next week so I can finally have my house back.

Saturday, we're replacing the kitchen linoleum with ceramic floor tiling. I can envision an all day project.

Sunday will be my day of rest...not that I'm religious, but I'll be tired as hell and will spend the entire day in my PJ's, watching movies in bed while eating junk food. Everyone else can fend for themselves.

2. Don't let anyone take your Sunday away from you.
Sharing space can be so hard.

Good luck.

3. Going to spend it DREADING next week
Have to do 50 in-person interviews in 3 different cities.

The only good thing is my week starts in New York, so I'm spending Sunday afternoon there, maybe visiting the Met and definitely patronizing my favorite little Italian restaurant.

The rest of the week goes downhill from there!

4. What's your favorite Italian restaurant?
We like Lanzo's on 1rst Ave.

5. Branzini near Bryant Park
Not the best, just close to the hotel, and a good choice for a single woman dining alone. They have tuna tartare appetizer that brings tears to my eyes (their appetizers are so good I get 2-3, and forget about an entree)

Lanza's looks wonderful, and won't freak out our accountant when he gets my expense report! Is it somewhere that a person could eat alone? (I'm very comfortable eating alone, or eating at the bar, since I travel so much for work and don't like room service)

6. It's brightly lit and tends to be crowded...
...but you could certainly eat alone there. And you'd be near some very nice Italian bakeries.

If I had a dime to my name, I'd meet you for lunch.

8. I interview doctors, nurse, patients and pharmacists
ask them their opinion about new drugs, new packaging, ad campaigns, etc.

Yes, I am SO in the maw of Big Pharma.

9. I'm no fan of big pharma, but work with them all the time.
We get a lot of program support for my non-profit from pharmacuetical companies.

Maybe you can hook me up with your director of oncology giving.

;-)

10. Wish I actually WORKED for big pharma
Just a less-well-compensated vendor. On the other hand, when I'm not traveling, I lead a pretty calm 40-45 hours/week life. Most of my clients at pharmaceutical companies work crazy hours, and are under tons of pressure.

11. Ah, I see.
I don't know how this happened to me, but I'm a fundraiser through and through. I'm always looking for connections. ;-)

Do let me know if you try Lanza's.

I'm feeling much better today, and should be normal for the weekend!

Might have some flavoured vodka tomorrow (raspberry or black cherry :9) but for sure the man and I are going to be relaxing with some cartoons and video games (as usual! LOL)

Have fun this weekend!!!
