Any Rosacea sufferers here?
I've searched the archives and couldn't find any reference.

What are you trying that is working?

Antibiotics? MetroGel? Cleansers? Make-up? Moisturizers?

How about occular Roscea? Have you had it?

Not asking for medical advice..I see a doctor on a regular basis for it.

Just wonder what you are trying that is working for you.

2. I've always had a sort of ruddy complexion, so
I found a sheer green-tinted makeup that really offset the redness on my cheeks. It worked wonders! Hope this helps. :)

4. i've had it mild over the years, but recently it got worse and....
my dermatologist put me on noritate, plexion and a mild antibiotic. i've since gone off the antibiotic and have had very very few breakouts (usually when i do it's because i've slacked off on the medicine)

5. I've tried metrogel and antibiotics
The antibiotics worked fine, but if I want to keep it under control I would have to take them continually. I'm not willing to do that since I don't want to build up a resistance. Metrogel worked ok, but it was harsh on my face. Right now I'm trying vitamin K creme. It seems to be helping some. I really do need to see a dermotologist one of these years, but I have to confess that I really don't like doctors all that much.

7. Yes, MetroCream is now available in off-brand
and it's just as effective, still expensive tho.

Definitely helps with dry skin in winter, my face doesn't look like it's just been sandblasted anymore.

8. Diflucan gel. Impossible to get in the USA (I get it in Italy). When I
ran out in the USA I treated it successfully with vagisil...

Yeah, I know it sounds gross, but it's just a topical ointment for the treatment of a yeast infection, which is what it is.

Works great, cheap too.

I can't figure out why they don't sell Diflucan gel in the USA or Mexico. I found it safe, effective and really easy and cheap.

9. Eurcerin calming lotion
Wash with cetaphil, follow up with Eurcerin or Cetaphil Lotion

Am always looking for something better to keep the red down on my dry Irish skin

Definitely have the occular rosacea, which is NOT helped by constant computer use! Makes me unable to wear contacts -- can you wear them (if you need them?)

10. Same thing with the contacts!
After wearing them from morning till bedtime for nearly 25 years, I suddenly had to quit wearing them about 1 month ago due to the occular rosacea.

Opthamologist said "You're just getting too old to wear contacts." So I am getting used to glasses again. Not happy about it, either.

Computer usage really dries my already dry eyes even further.
