Models and extroverts: Going to a photographer
in a couple of weeks.

Can I get some tips on facing the camera?

I'm rather reserved so, what can I do to loosen up? :D

4. Here's the photographer
He specializes in black and white portraits.

My sister said "They're very moody." I said "I'm rather moody, so it fits." :D

11. Well, I know nothing about photography, and I am not a model,
but I would advise to just do what the photographer says, and smile a lot...

3. Get drunk
Just kidding. I know someone who is a member of an online community like this for amateur models and photographers to network, share ideas, ask about rates and refer one another.
I don't think there's any unsuitable content but I only check out my friend's page from time to time. I don't browse the rest much.

8. I can't help you with what you need to do....
...but be sure and let us see some of your "official" pics when you have them! Afterall, we may have a celeb in our humble midst!

9. Oh sure
I plan to.

It's gonna cost me a small fortune, but I've never had any really good pics taken... other than some family photos that turned out well.

12. That good of a photographer
Knows how to make you feel comfortable. Make sure you wear clothes you feel comfortable in, and just be open to his suggestions.

13. That photographer will give you all the tips you need
Edited on Fri Feb-03-06 11:16 AM by nothingshocksmeanymo
The guy is obviously a "head shot" specialist. What YOU need to do the day prior is make sure you drink enough water to hydrate your skin. He probably has make up there but bring visine and lightener for under your eyes as well as some Preparation H if you tend to get bags under your eyes (a small amout of Prep H shrinks them temporarily but use very carefully).

Bring grainy clothes (top) or prints..no stripes

If you take a close look at those pics on his site, he's going to ask you to move your neck certain ways that will feel unnatural at first...just follow his instructions and your pics will look great. ;)

15. Drink champagne
and "make love" to the camera. That's what Marilyn Monroe did.

16. Just remember: You are a GODDESS!!
You are Beautiful, Powerful and Wise.
Claim it, own it, make it yours.

btw, I saw your pix on the pix thread recently and I can certainly say you ARE Beauty Full. :)

I think women who remember to embrace their essential goddess natures are incredibly photogenic.
