Poll question: Woo...Dilemma time.

So, I'm riding the school bus line (I just realized today that riding the bus to the bus station gets me to where I need without walking up 5 flights of stairs- long story) and I disembark at the station. As I'm leaving the bus, I see a five dollar bill. Now, I didn't see it fall out of anyone's purse or anything, it was sitting there when I got off. I don't know who dropped it; I guess it was sitting there for a while.

I know there's no way to find out who it belongs to (what am I gonna do? Ask who dropped 5 bucks?) but I still feel guilty picking it up. Should I have left it there? (But at least I have eating money today!)



So, should I have kept it, or left it?

3. Many years ago I found a $20 bill on floor in a mall.

I picked it up and looked around to see if anyone looked like they had lost anything. No one was anywhere nearby. So, since I had just lost a job I kept the money. There was no way to find the rightful owner and anyone else I would have given the money to would have kept it for themselves.
I think you did the right thing.
