My husband calls and says, "Dad wants to come over for dinner! He's in town 30 minutes away!"

I have a friend who has designs on my hair... my dirt-brown hue is like an old friend and I refuse to part with it. Except for something outrageous like green, but that would get me fired.

11. This is a trick that has worked for me in the past.

Grab a couple of laundry baskets and just start throwing things in them. Stow them in your car.
Order pizza.

12. get your husband or his father to take you all OUT to dinner,

and you meet them there. That buys you some time, and they can catch up while waiting for you. Also, then your FIL doesn't have to come over to your house. That's worked for me in the past...
