3. It's cheesy and misguided, but...
I know there are stats out there that say that military families have higher rates of spousal abuse. And wasn't it last year where two wifes were murdered by their husbands at Fort Briggs? It's too early in the morning to google this.
I think this may be the military's response to a problem. Which for the military to be pro-active about anything besides oil is amazing.

4. KitchenWitch, it should be painfully obvious to anyone now....
...that we are an empire. And our entire apparatus is here to serve the empire and it's goals. Eventually, one will either serve in the military, work for a military contractor, or work in a service industry. This mind-set started under Ray-gun, and the writing was on the wall then. It's sad. Welcome to Pax Americana.
