Mmm... Don Julio tequila... tasty!

I bought a bottle yesterday, having never had it before... nice! I got the anejo kind.

Smooth and sippable!

It's amazing the difference between the tequila used for college students or at such shitholes as ChiChis or Sergios, and the good tequila - they are utterly different worlds.

I fell in love with Patron four or five years ago, but this time thought I would try the Don Julio. And a friend of mine was in Mexico a month ago and brought back a tequila that isn't available in the US at all, that cost her $60 in mexico, and holy hell is it good!

If you're going for it, go Corazon's anejo. Makes Don Julio and Chinaco taste like, well, frathouses. :P

A friend of mine just started on nice tequilas... he had the comment that it tasted like good scotch, but reminded him of tequila. :D

I like it! And it's so true. Especially the ones that are aged in the bourbon casks are specially wonderful.

Corazon - well, when this bottle is finished, perhaps sometime in 2008 (I don't drink a lot of tequila... but now that I have the Riedel tequila glasses, I might drink it more often), I'll try to remember to check out Corazon.
