How early is too early to call a youngish potential landlord on a weekend?
I've been trying to reach these people for a damned week now. It's a sister-in-law handling the showings and phone tag for a brother-in-law (the property owner).

We applied for the apartment Tuesday. There's nothing too weird in the credit background, although if he is looking for something to kill the deal, he'll find one (as he would for anyone).

"He'll call you Thursday. Call me Friday if you don't hear."

Well, I didn't hear Thursday, and I called Friday. It's now Saturday.I'd like to know if I should set up more appointments for apartments or not.

I have the property owner's #. He's 27, and spends most of his time traveling, and I suspect he takes great advantage of non-working weekends.

When is a good time to call? (It's 9:30. I've been up a couple of hours now.)

1. Call NOW!
Apologize for waking him, if he sounds sleepy...or, if you're good & angry, sail right past the apologies & get right down to business!

Good luck!

3. I think 9:00 A.M.
Is a reasonable time. If you wait too long, people are out running their Saturday errands.

7. He's not the emergency guy, I found out.
So that won't be a problem. (It could be an entirely different problem...)

Well, we did hear back. There are other applicants, and he's reviewing them today, and will call by Monday with an update, regardless.

I've set up a couple of other appointments.

Grr.
