I can understand the pro-tie argument - sometimes two teams are so evenly matched that there is no real difference in their performances and the decision is essentially due to random chance, but I think the point for OT losses evens that out a bit.

And the 4on4 OT/shootout structure adds a ton of excitement...

there are a lot of games, and scoring is slow, I don't feel guilty about my team having lost fewer games through ties. :-)

Shootouts don't really tell about a team's skill, too.

But yes, there are good arguments both ways.

4. I love the four on four...hate the Shootout. It just isn't a true win IMO.

Although, MrG said the Wings/Bluejackets game he went to was fun when they got to the shootout because everyone was booing Sergei Federov and he lost it for Columbus. :hi:
