Super Bowl Pre-game .......
Just turned it on ABC. They were covering the Iran Hostage Crisis of the 70's complete with Reagan saying "the hostages have been released' .... and not mentioning his intentions to keep them there till after the elections. ... So I turned to ESPN and they were interviewing Condi Rice. .... Enjoy the game folks! Peace. :)

1. Why don't they carry the most un-covered element of the History
of U.S. - Iranian relations, namely, the period of the Shaw's reign?

5. Maybe because the Nixon Administration with Kissinger back then
was about to build 23 nuclear facility's with the Shaw in Iran to get their nuclear energy program going? Backed by U.S. big Oil company's so they could sell Iran's oil instead of using it for domestic consumption? Cheney and Rumsfield were involved in that back then too by the way. Anyway welcome to DU Messenger! :hi: Guess DU is going offline during the game, have a good afternoon! Peace. :)

4. I certainly hope not.
You can't even divide these cities on political lines, either. Both are pretty Blue (one has a long-standing blue collar heritage, while the other is a modern, high-tech cosmopolitan city).

Fly bys of nuke capable killing machines. :puke:

Wasn't the coin toss done by Tillman's son last year?

9. I missed that, but am not surprised.
The pre-game show was so goddamn long, it's totally understandable that they ran out of football-related things to talk about.
