Did anybody else get one of these?

I just got an envelope in the mail addressed from author Toni Morrison. Enclosed was a form letter, a solicitation for a donation, and a Certificate of Appreciation. Now I typically donate 20 bucks here and there from organizations who send me mail, and I kind of lose track. So, what I got is:

In recognition of an important contribution to the ongoing fight against hatred and intolerance in America. The name shown above will be added to the Wall of Tolerance in Montgomery, Alabama, to provide inspiration to all of those who choose to take a stand against hatred.

1. SPLC -- we got on their list because of our membership in ACLU, I think

:grr: I wish ACLU wouldn't sell their list.

6. Everytime I get one of their requests, it always calls me "Mr."

I get a good laugh out of that. If you can't even use the list correctly that was bought from the ACLU or HRC, please don't solicit me.

3. I get those from the wall of the tolerance a lot

just got one recently, in fact.

4. The Southern Poverty Law Center is a wonderful organization...

in my opinion.

From their web site: The Southern Poverty Law Center was founded in 1971 as a small civil rights law firm. Today, the Center is internationally known for its tolerance education programs, its legal victories against white supremacists and its tracking of hate groups.

I've been donating to them for over a decade.
