Great play (The Eyes of Babylon) visiting Lexington, Ky 02-18-06
Here's the press release

Hello Friends in Central Kentucky!!!

You may have seen the Lexington Herald-Leader article in Sunday’s paper regarding The Eyes of Babylon; a one-man play performed by Jeff Keys chronicling his personal journey as a gay US Marine through his service in the Iraqi War.

My friend, Leslie Dodd, and I saw the performance at Natasha’s last week and we’re so jazzed. Our only regret is that so few folks in Central Kentucky got to see it. So, like Imagine America before the Iraqi War, we’ve booked the Kentucky Theatre for Saturday, February 18th at 10 am. I know that’s a strange time, but it’s the only availability because of scheduled movies.

Musicians Mitch Barrett and Carla Gover of ZOE SPEAKS are going to add extra spice by opening the play with their awesome music. ,

One US Marine's Personal Journey in Iraq
Performed as a One-Man Play

Kentucky Theatre, 214 East Main St, Lexington, KY
Saturday, February 18th, 10:00 am
$10 per person

"By placing his account of being a gay Marine in Iraq and its aftereffects in the guise of confessional performance art, writer-performer Jeff Key disarms our defenses with considerable humor and lingering punch."
-Los Angeles Times theatre critic David C. Nichols

"Monumentally epic . . .
could some day change the world."
-Backstage West

"His performance really soars . . . .
He'll be an unstoppable force."
-L.A. Weekly

"The EYES of BABYLON is as astonishing to me as any other work of art which appears, fresh, from a highly gifted artist. I was drawn into it, disarmed, and stilled to a state of positive shock and awe . . . . As moved as I was throughout the presentation, I didn't weep until later, when the worth and the weight of it had sunk in." -Joan Baez
