In my dream you were trying to tell me something while I was standing in the open doorway of a train boxcar.

There was a forest of pine trees and deep green grass along the railroad tracks.
The air was deep blue and there was a mist hanging above the trees.

The train started moving and you began running alongside.

Your hair was longer and you were younger.

You spoke fiercely with your eyes and said:
I have found you!

We reached, hands out, and almost touched.
I watched you grow smaller as I stood in the doorway of that empty boxcar.

And my heart was broken knowing it would be a long time before I saw you again.


I had this dream a little over 10 years ago.
