1. You're assuming of course that
people know that certain live events aren't shown live in half the country.

2. Assuming nothing.
It's proven that some people are clueless.

Guess you just expect us West Coasters to be silent and deal with it, huh?

6. Yep, you do expect us to just deal with it.
Lame. Hey, tell me what movies you plan on seeing so I can spoil them for you.

A little courtesy is too much to expect from some folks, I guess.

7. I think this is entirely different from telling the ending to a movie
You don't find out the ending to movies on the front page of CNN.com, BBC News, etc.

9. Hey, you want to keep
defending spoilsports, that's your right. I guess my mistake is assuming East Coast Lounge Lizards would be cool enough not to spoil, and be big enough to realize how it sucks for us West Coasters, but clearly, I'm wrong.

11. I just don't consider it spoiling
You can find out who won almost the same time as anyone else by going on to any number of websites. I don't really see what the hell is so special about seeing some idiot say the name of the winner on TV. Of course the ideal solution would be for networks to actually show live events live nationwide.

"Spooger."

"Spelunking."

Forget it! You're wrong. Speak for yourself. It's hard.

or perhaps I should have waited til the pony express got the news of the grammys to california before i statred that thread?

my apologies. i didn't realize people would go on a news site and hope to be shielded from news.

8. Nice.
Maybe you could've resisted the temptation to reveal the winner in the headline of your thread. But I guess the thrill of being the first to report it was just too overpowering.

10. not really
I thought people go to the news what with yahoo and all. i thought talking about the show was OK.

I didn't realize that there were people out there who took the grammys that seriously. you can still hold your breath and make wishes while the open the other envelopes if it's that important to you.

oh and rosebud is the sled, by the way.
