Double majors and minors, but I got out in five.

(sorry I wasn't with you on the "college" thang -- pre-coffee)

By the way, love your screen name (I am a bassist).

33. I'm a tenor (actually natural baritone) but I sing alto frequently
(I've even had to sing second soprano - yes, I have a pretty nifty falsetto).

Media Info Systems was what we called "computers and broadcasting" back in the 80s (when I had my IBM dual-floppy - no hard drive - tiny amber screen "sewing machine" portable PC. I got a 1200 baud modem, and everyone thought I was the man!).

Lived in Vawter freshman year, traversed the steam tunnels, and had many a snowball fight on the drillfield.

Memories...

19. Phoenix Pin of Recognition

Sister of the Month at my sorority.

As far as academic honors, I managed to finally pass calculus after failing twice by taking the class with the football team. All tests were True/False, and a 50% was a passing grade.

GOD BLESS THE NITTANY LIONS!!!!

Edited on Thu Feb-09-06 02:52 PM by jane_pippin
We didn't have the valedictorian and all that since we had no GPA to figure them by. Instead they have this thing called "honors" and anybody who meets the criteria, (which are pretty strict, I've heard), gets 'em.

But other than that, eh, I got nothin'

24. I got a full ride scholarship for my junior and senior years
and the college I went to wasn't cheap by any means. Plus I was named President of my psychology Honor Society in my senior year. Won the first "Spirit of the Campus" award -- and no,it wasn't for cheerleading. It meant I was the student who best embodied the Jesuit ideals of leadership, scholarship, and service. And I graduated Magna Cum Laude.

Okay,I'm done bragging now.

Phi THETA Kappa, not Phi BETA. I think Phi Theta is for so-so students who accidentally post fairly good grades once in a while. I did that a time or two in college.
