I need a new song.
Edited on Thu Feb-09-06 04:02 PM by LaraMN
Pleeease suggest a song for me to download! I need something new to listen to- everything in my library feels stale. My only stipulations are:

1. no "new country" and
2. no gangsta rap.

Edited to add: I got three free song "coupons" for a music site, so I need to find THREE songs.

20. Blues. with a little swing. sorta
Edited on Thu Feb-09-06 04:30 PM by Ptah
From a review:
""You're Changing Like the Season," the tale of a fickle lover, leavened by a coy lyric ("Last night you said you loved me/had you droppin' on your knees/Now the only thing that's droppin'/is your lovin' by degrees")"

6. None of those.
A mix of stuff. Alot of alternative. Some classic rock, some heavier stuff. I've got NIN and Patsy Cline, if that gives you any idea!:silly:

10. Do you have any
"Whipped Cream and other delights"?

"Tangerine" playing on my computer now. It's a little too mellow.

I was looking for band names that would get stale like "crackers" and "loaves"

Chelsea Hotel by Dan Bern. Kind of a latter day folk-rock dude in the vein of Dylan.

12. Dan Bern rules. I first heard him back in '98 or so, and was intrigued
and have followed his stuff ever since. He did wonderful songs like "Bush Must Be Defeated" too :P

He's got a Dylanesque sound with better enunciation and more up-to-date cultural references :)

you will not be disappointed. This record is like drinking Bourbon without the HO. I don't know what you're into but I'm all about this record.

Girl Anachronism by "The Dresden Dolls":

Also you might be interested in checking out the world of mp3 blogs - they've turned me onto some really good stuff in the past couple of months. Here's a site which posts links to mp3's from a decent selection of such blogs:

Also, great live bootlegs here:
