2. They were all mostly really excited to help.
I got one who actually went to the national convention in 2004! Hard-core! Don't know how we missed him before. He was stoked!

3. Excellent!
I think 2006 is going to be a good year for Democrats in Texas. :bounce:

Now if I could just get the supporters of two county commissioner's court candidates to stop calling, life would be perfect. :eyes:

4. OMG! Nobody TOLD me about the candidate harrassment.
I have this one judicial candidate that keeps calling me and badmouthing his opponent. Does NOT make me think any better of him.

Got your clerks yet? :D

8. Aren't you running the primary in your precinct?
Don't you need election clerks? I have to recruit two. I haven't found mine yet. Bad me. :spank:

10. We've been asked to volunteer or find some folks.
But, uh...I haven't found any. I thought I'd be available, but now that I'm working...:(

I'm the world's worst precinct chair. Really. I only took the job because it was vacant.

11. Heh, I'm sure you're better than some of ours.
who never, EVER show up for anything AT ALL.

I like working elections. It's fun! Although I imagine the primary will be a lot slower than the general was.

12. Well, I do go to meetings. Sometimes.
:7

I did have yard signs, etc last election, but I had crap for a voter file. There's better data (thanks partly to Glen Maxey) available now. I'm really too introverted for the job, really. My schmoozing skills need an upgrade. I'm better'n nothin' I guess. ;)

7. In some places they are called precinct captains, or party captains.
Basically, a precinct chair organizes party activities in their voting precinct.
