BREAKING NEWS: Presidential Library Flooded!
Washington D.C.:
A flood today demolished the G.W. Bush Presidential library. The flood started in the Oval Office bathrooom and has destroyed both books. A staffer close to the President stated that the President was very upset because he was almost finished coloring the second book.

2. Gore Vidal told a similar joke about Ronald Reagan in 1985 or so

both in a speech the National Press Club and during a Tonight Show appearance. Vidal's joke involved a fire rather than a flood, but the coloring books were there.

The joke has been attributed to others as well, and in a later presidential primary campaign, perennial Republican numbskull Jack Kemp attempted feebly to use the joke against perennial Republican numbskull Bob Dole.
