Olympic Results

So far the Olympics are pretty thrilling for fans of winter sports. Germany's won two golds, in the Nordic Combined 15k and the Biathalon. Chad Hedrick (US) won gold in the 5000 metre men's speedskating event. He's trying to match Eric Heidens's 5 golds. Tomorrow, the men's downhill event. Daron Rahlves and Bode Miller are both contenders. Watching Bode is always an edge of the seat propostion. Will he be the fastest guy by a second or more or will he DNF?

1. Isn't Bode the one who is staying off site...out of the Village?

a real North Country hippie kid. You probably know his story, grew up in a hand made cabin on a mountainside, no running water or electricity- just like my kid did for the first 10 years of his life. (Actually, we got electricity when my kid was two, and we had gravity fed water piped into the house, so it wasn't nearly as rough as the Miller family's scene.)

and if he wins the downhill, that's terrific. So, just out of curiosity why the vehement reaction to Miller?
It seems a bit over the top. And I think he's a bright guy who doesn't fit in to the uniformity of the ski team, not an asshole. BTW, even if Rahlves does win the Downhill, he can't EVER outdo Miller. Miller won the World Cup. Rahlves never has.

5. I love the men's pairs ice dancing

music, rhinestones, and make up.

Flame me if you want ...... it was not supposed to be mean.

Actually the mens downhill is awesome ..... 80 mph on ice ... going down a mountain.
