There is a divine power that connects all of us. We have a soul that makes us who we are as individuals and more than flesh and bones. You can't make a soul and a consciousness in a test tube. Whether that means this power is a Christian God is debatable. I think Christians have one viewpoint but not necessarily the correct one. That's what makes me an agnostic. I subscribe to the watchmaker theory. This divine power doesn't take an active role in what happens like who wins the big game or whether innocent people are slaughtered in a senseless war. "God" gave us a brain. It's up to us to get ourselves out of our own messes. Praying is a form of meditation. When you pray you're really searching for the answers that are inside of yourself by being connected with this divine force.
