I love to watch figure skating, but could NEVER imagine myself doing that sport.. (the scene from Fantasia comes to mind.. the one with the hippos in tutus)

15. I agree with the sport -- except I would look more like a scene from "ER"

4. Only to a degree
I prefer watching more solo sports, such as those on display at the Olympics: figure skating, sking, as opposed to team sports.

I am a solo type person so I more enjoy watching athletes who compete in those sports. So to the degree I like solo stuff that's the kinds of sports I like. But no, like SoCalDem, I can't imagine myself figure skating or going a mile a minute downhill. It's just fun to watch.

5. Since I'm watching the Olympics,
I'd have to say the luge. I think I'd be good at it, but at 41, I'm too old to start.

6. Just the opposite. Knowing that I personally could never do it
makes it interesting.

8. I love luge and skeleton.
I can't imagine doing them because my life insurance would immediately drop me from their policy.
How about, in my case, the sports I love to watch the most are the ones w/ that run the biggest risk of massive injuries.

10. I live by a simple rule:
Those who can, play. Those who can't, watch.

I'm a watcher. :)

11. Not me. The only sports i watch are those
in which I can't and never will be able to do what those folks do. Inline vert? Not happening. Snowboard halfpipe? Sure, but not like the pros. Big wave surfing? Oh, hell no. I'll watch those folks in awe.

12. I think it's exactly the opposite
The sports I love to watch are the ones in which I couldn't compete at all, ever. Gymnastics comes to mind.

16. Not in my case
I despise sports for the most part. The rare times I do watch sports I watch womens' or pairs figure skating, or womens' gymnastics. My guess is that I enjoy the artistic quality these sports have. I know I wouldn't have any ability in either of those sports, so it's not that I imagine myself doing well in them.
