I can see it now: Bitter posts, no longer talking about "cliques," but "multihearters" or "the many-hearted people." Not sure what the exact terminology will be, but it'll happen.

Yeah, you're right (as usual). Some people will use this as an opportunity to feed their egos, and others will be hurt. Just human nature - in all of its facets. But remember, some people are using this time as a chance to sincerely express themselves, too.

I think the hearts are a clever way for DU to raise $$; I just think it would work better if the number of hearts anyone has were displayed for only them to see.

Then, people would be able to say to themselves "Hey, two people out there sent me hearts!" without seeing that someone else had more.
