That way when people annoy me I can just whip a brick at the door after they leave. It would make me feel better, and having a bucket full means I wouldn't have to get up after tossing one to retrieve it. Added bonus: Eventually the bricks will create a pile blocking the door so nobody will be able to come in and bug me in the first place. (Possible downside: I'd be stuck here.)

Also, if you have any good vibes left after all this VD hoopla, there's a slim chance I'll be out of this place once and for all soon if one of my co-workers gets promoted. So let's all hope for that, both for the co-worker,(who deserves the promotion), and me.

4. i worked in an office with a box of rocks

It was a construction trailer, the rocks were a sample to be submitted to a testing lab. For some reason they just sat there and never actually got sent to the lab. One day the main superintendent, a red faced, angry workaholic named Mark, came into the trailer yelling about something. He was always yelling, we hardly paid attention. His ranting was interupted when one of his many cell phones rang and, being distracted, he tripped on the box of rocks. He yelled furiously, at no one in particular, "and why is this box of rocks sitting here?!?"

Someone in the doorway of the trailer, i never found out who it was, yelled back, "THEY FELL OUT OF YOUR FUCKING HEAD!", then ran away, leaving the rest of us sitting at our desks trying not to laugh out loud. Mark resumed his phone call and stomped out of the trailer to look for the culprit, slamming the door on the way out. There was 2-3 seconds of dead silence, then the entire trailer erupted into hysterical laughter that went on for several minutes. The rest of the day was spent with various people reenacting the whole incident complete with exaggerated facial gestures, wild tripping, and angry stomping.

The box of rocks never got submitted and became known as "the box of rocks from Mark's head" which was eventually shortened to "Mark's rocks" (as in "have the intern sit at the desk next to mark's rocks"). Eventually, they left with the trailers, never to be seen again..........
