got time?

We're about to move into a rented house with two apartments (have to get out of the old one by the end of march). I had planned to do some complicated painting. Taking off the wallpaper I found out there was mould everywhere. That'll be fixed, but until it's being fixed I can't do any work there. So yesterday I started on the second apartment (which we want to rent out again to somebody else) - thinking that we can live there until the other apartment is finally done. So to-day I find out that THAT place has even more mould... Which the owner of the house who is also the employer of my SO will not like at all, and it will be SUMMER before we can live there...

Plus the SO made a grave mistake to-day concerning both the house and his employer and there might be consequences. *sigh*

BUT I got a heart :)

it's as perfect as could be around here! Also we wouldn't try to get out of the contract because the owner of the house is my SO's employer, gotta be a little careful there.

The deal with mould is 1.) it's very unhealthy, 2.) I don't want to see mould, I want to see my (hopefullysome day) beautifully painted walls...

I ask because here in the USA, I have often heard of houses needing tons of work due to mould. But in the poor inner cities, there is never a mention of it.

Is it only dangerous if you are exposed to it over a long period of time?

17. Yes, I can see it - it's BLACK. I get sick from looking at it.

One-time exposure isn't bad (unless you're allergic, which I am) - but people shouldn't have to live with mould. Long-time exposure is rotten.

In the poor parts of German cities there is no mention of it, either. After all the poor have to take what they can get and don't they dare complain. Many of the poor are so downtrodden they wouldn't dare to complain in the first place :(

Such a WONDERFUL sweet surprise. That little heart SOOOO lifted my spirits today! (Ich hab' sogar geweint ein bißchen). And then came another!!! I'm just very grateful for the Menschlich spirit behind them and the wonderful feeling they brought.

Schimmel! EWWWWWW!!! Ich auch, letzte Woche. It's been REALLY BAD this winter, the plants, the walls, just got a new mattress... Our building is infested. My FAVORITE neighbors are relocating... Ich denke an die arme Leute in NOLA... Unsere Probleme sind gar nicht so gros.
