The DOWN side of having your own office
I've both shared office space and had my own office on several occasions. There are definitely things that are good and bad about both.

1. Good: Privacy
1. Bad: Can't just call out to get someone's attention
2. Good: Decorate/organize it however you want
2. Bad: Can't blame the mess on anyone else
3. Good: You don't have to muffle your "gas" or coughing so much
3a. Bad: If someone walks in after you rip one off, you've no one to blame.
3b. And Worse: If your office is small, it can be like a fart box, torture chamber.

Bad 3a and Bad 3b just happened with my boss. Luckily he has a really poor sniffer. I didn't notice any reaction from him, even though I was waving my arms trying to disperse the warm cloud. Damn cheesy macaroni anyway.

1. Glass cleaner.
Great cover for the gas. But my co-workers soon made the connection.

2. LOL!
I have one coworker that sprays air freshener as soon as she passes gas. She aims it under her chair. I've seen her do it when customers were there, without even thinking. It feels like an announcement. I usually run as fast as I can, not knowing the particular air currents. :nuke:

3. That's just a tad obvious.
If it's such a habit for her, she should take a look at her diet. No more cabbage for breakfast.

6. Good so far.
Nothing like a regular paycheck to change your outlook.
And I haven't resorted to glass cleaner. Yet.
