Rock singer Stapp arrested at L.A. airport


NEW YORK (Billboard) - Scott Stapp, former Creed singer, was arrested Saturday at Los Angeles International Airport for being intoxicated.

An Airport Police representative confirmed to Billboard.com that Stapp was taken into custody for being under the influence, but was unable to elaborate on the charges.

The singer was married a day earlier in Miami to Jaclyn Nesheiwat, who is a former Miss New York and the director of public affairs for the Scott Stapp Foundation, which promotes healthy parent-child relationships.

The Airport Police Department is preparing a statement regarding the arrest. The spokesperson noted that any booking or blood alcohol testing would be conducted by the Los Angeles Police Department, not at the airport. An LAPD representative was unable to comment on Stapp's arrest at deadline.

While bored at work last month my co-worker and I read a story about him in Rolling Stone. Oh man, that guy is a capital L LOSER. And if I recall correctly, he went on and on about how he was now sober and looked forward to a Creed reunion one day in the distant future. (Other Creed members were less than keen on that idea.)
